Projects¶
Some of the projects I've worked on:
Leiden University Libraries¶
Library Search Plugin¶
Presented at IGeLU 2018, the Library Search Plugin plugin allows users (students, researchers, etc.) to search your library's catalogue, Google Scholar, WorldCat, or PubMed, without having to navigate to the respective websites first! It also comes with a neat context menu that allows users to select text, right-click, and search. The plugin is compatible with Chromium browsers, and Firefox.
This is a clean version of the Leiden Search Assistant plugin that can be adapted and used by any library.
Alma Primo Locate Tool¶
Presented at IGeLU 2021, the Alma Primo Locate Tool is an open-source solution that leverages on Alma's APIs and the Primo interface to provide clear instructions to patrons about where items in the open stacks are located. The tool is currently in use at Leiden University Libraries.
Alma Acquisitions Open Source¶
Leiden University Libraries' open-source solution for displaying the latest acquisitions by the Library, coming directly from ExLibris' Alma. The solution is currently in use at Leiden University Libraries.
EzProxy Link Generator¶
EzProxy Link Generator (ELG, in short) is a simple tool that allows users to generate links using your Institution's EzProxy prefix and use these where needed.
Personal Projects¶
DMMapp - Digitized Medieval Manuscripts app¶
The DMMapp is a web application that allows users to explore digitized medieval manuscripts from various libraries around the world. It is connected to a blog, and is a popular resource for medievalists and codicologists. In constant development.
e-inkunabula¶
E-Inkunabula is a project that aims to help you display information coming from Home Assistant on an e-ink display using a Raspberry Pi. It is based on Inkycal and makes some slight deviations from the original project. Includes neat documentation.
